Trovo interessante – oltretutto perché ho sempre sostenuto altrettanto – che la ragione della più facile comprensione dei testi, addotta dalla riforma conciliare, è mal posta: non si tratta infatti di ragione linguistica, ma di penetrazione del mistero e d’adesione ad esso, per la qual cosa più che la lingua vale la contemplazione orante. Utile anche la descrizione dei singoli passaggi cerimoniali per celebrare la liturgia tradizionale: i preti delle ultime leve sanno a mala pena che l’attuale rito s’iniziò con Paolo VI ed ignorano quello precedente; i preti della mia età hanno in gran parte dimenticato il rito della loro prima Messa and their first ministerial service.
